On my digs I am often finding ashtrays and lighters, and now and then pipes and cigarett mouthpieces. Naturally I like the trench-art / field made variants best as those are much more unique than the mass manufactured stuff.
I took photos of a bunch of them today to show some examples.

This large ashtray was made from a german 15cm casing, with a Finnish casing mounted in the center. I found it in a shed.
I won this beautiful example on a local auction. The seller told it had come out of a farm had been living quarters for gebirgsjägers near the Lyngen line. It is very well made and has the unit engraved around. "II.Geb.Jäg.Regt.206"
This ashtray was also won on a local auction. Nicely made and has interesting engravings. Two Enzian flowers which the 4th Gebirgs Division used as a symbol is engraved on one side. The other side has "19 Eimeer Front 44" with the midnight sun between the two words. Note that the maker made a mistake and missed the "s" from "Eismeer". I bet he was annoyed with that. Very nicely marked on the underside, I am not sure but I wonder if it could be for a 7.5 cm French or Belgian gun.
